Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is inviting bright result-oriented engineering professionals for the posts of 37 Graduate Engineer Trainees (Electrical/ Civil/ C&I). 1. Graduate Engineer Trainees (Electrical): 20 Nos. (Gen—10; SC-4; ST—1; OBC—5)
2. Graduate Engineer Trainees (Civil): 09 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—3)
3. Graduate Engineer Trainees (C&I): 08 Nos. (Gen—4; ST—1; OBC—3)
Qualification requirement for Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET)
1. Graduate Engineer Trainees (Elect.): Four years full time Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics with not less than 65% marks (60% for SC/ST) in aggregate of all years/ semesters
2. Graduate Engineer Trainees (Civil): Four years full time bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in civil engineering with not less than 65% marks (60% for SC/ST) in aggregate of all years/ semesters.
3. Graduate Engineer Trainees (C&I): Four years full time bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology in Instrumentation & Control/ Instrumentation/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication, with not less than 65% marks (60% for SC/ST) in aggregate of all years/ semesters.

Age Limit: Maximum 29 yrs as on 01-07-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs and OBC—3yrs, Others—as per norms.
GATE – 2013 Requirements:
Beside above mentioned qualification, candidates must have qualified GATE – 2013 Examination in respective paper as per discipline and must possess valid Score card. See the below link for details.
GATE-2013 Qualified Candidates who have appeared in the Final year (2013) of their Engineering Exam but their results are still awaited, may also apply. In such case candidate must put ‘0’ marks against 7/8 semester in the online application. Such candidates must make themselves sure to provide final year marksheet & certificate at the time of selection steps, i.e. Group Discussion.
Application Fee: Interested candidates willing to apply for the vacancies must pay Application Fee of Rs.300/- which is to be deposited through any branches of State Bank of India in a specially opened DVC Account No. 31728459593 (Power Jyoti Scheme) at SBI, CAG branch, Kolkata (9998) on behalf of DVC.

SC/ST/PH AND DVC CANDIDATES ARE EXEMPTED FROM PAYMENT OF FEES.
Selection of the candidates will be done through Group Discussion, Psychometric Test and Personal Interview. Date, time and venue will be hoisted on the official website of DVC –www.dvc.gov.in
N.B: No call letters will be sent to the shortlisted candidates by post, therefore candidates must regularly visit the website of DVC for any new notification and announcement regarding the vacancies. See the Advt. for details.
